Um 7:30 Uhr ging es mit Herrn Thora, Frau Küpper, Frau Anacker und Herrn Burre im Gepäck auf nach Canterbury, England.
Nach knapp 11 Stunden Fahrt und einer sehr gewöhnungsbedürftigen Raststätte kamen die Leistungskurse Englisch und Pädagogik von Herrn Thora und Frau Henrich an der University of Kent an. Nicht nur der wunderschöne Campus, sondern auch die Vielfalt an Tieren dort ließ uns teilweise erstaunen. Morgens eine Möwe, auf dem Weg zum Co-op Markt einen kleinen Hasen und mit viel Glück sogar einen Fuchs am frühen Abend!
Etwas, was vor allem für uns eine ziemliche Hürde war, war der Wechsel der Währung und insbesondere, dass viele Läden in England, am häufigsten in London, teilweise nur noch Kartenzahlung akzeptieren. Doch trotzdem konnten wir uns jeden Tag auf ein Lächeln der Mitarbeitenden und Bewohner von Canterbury und London freuen. Die Höflichkeit und Freundlichkeit der Einwohner macht England allein schon zum unwiderstehlichen Reiseziel.
Und jetzt fragt man sich natürlich: Was könnte eine solch schöne Reise noch besser machen? Wir sagen’s euch: Paul, unser Busfahrer!
Fünf Tage lang hat er uns begleitet und uns überall hingefahren und pünktlich wieder abgeholt und war mit seiner lieben Art sozusagen die Kirsche auf der Sahnetorte.
Vielen Dank an unsere Lehrkräfte, dass sie uns eine so schöne Abschlussfahrt mit vielen individuellen Erinnerungen und lustigen Momenten geschenkt haben und wir hoffen, dass jeder von euch auch so über eure eigene Abschlussfahrt bald denkt wie wir!

At 7:30 a.m. in the morning we went off to Canterbury, England, with our teachers (Thora, Küpper, Anacker, Burre).
After driving for around 11 hours and a roadhouse toilet that takes getting used to, the advanced courses English and Pedagogy arrived at the University of Kent. Not only the mesmerising campus but also the varity of animals on it left us speechless at first. Being woken up by a seagull in the morning, seeing a bunny on our way to the local co-op market and with the best of luck even a fox in the early evening!
Something that required adaption was to change money in the local currency and especially the fact that many shops, particularly in London, only accept credit cards. But overcoming these hurdles, we were able to look forward to the smiles of the cashiers and citizens of Canterbury and London. Especially the fact of meeting these polite and friendly people there makes England such a special travel destination.
And considering all this you might ask yourself: Is this going to be even better? And let us tell you: yes! With our bus driver Paul! For five days he drove us around and picked us up on time. His kindness was basically the cherry on top!
We would like to thank our teachers for making this dream of a trip come true and that all of us had the chance to collect many individual and funny memories and we hope that all of you will think the same of your own classtrip one day!
